ATTENTION PADDLERS
- PFD’s & leashes must be worn at all times
- No lifeguard on duty - Swim at your own risk
- Drugs and alcohol are not permitted
- Minors must be supervised at all times
- Keep away from the Power Plant & Dam
- Be aware of afternoon storms, high winds and lightning
- Hypothermia is a risk. Your PFD will assist in keeping you buoyant and warm.
- Know how to re-enter your watercraft
- Emergency whistles are located on your PFD
- Be courteous. Yield to other watercraft & use caution around motorized boats
MOTORIZED BOATS
- All motorized boats at Twin Lakes must be inspected at Dexter Point boat ramp (gas or electric)
- Motorized boats must yield to paddlers
ATTENTION CYCLISTS
- Wear your helmet at all times
- Ride within your skill level
- Bring plenty of water / hydration
- Follow the rules of the trail / road
- Slow down around blind turns
- Stay on the trails, don’t cut switchbacks
- Don’t scare animals - wildlife, cattle or domestic animals
- Respect trail and road closures - if you’re unsure, ask a land manager
- Don’t trespass on private land - get a permit or other required authorization
- Never ride in areas protected as private, state or federal wilderness
- Ride on the RIGHT side of the road, on the shoulder
- Yield to hikers and equestrians
- Shout “PASSING ON RIGHT” or ring bell when approaching others on the trail
