Twin Lakes Trail

14 mile loop around Twin Lakes

Willis Gultch trail

Parking is west of town. Look for the foot bridge.

Interlaken Trail

Local favorite. Flowy out-and-back that traces the lower lake. Parking is on the east side of the lower lake off of County Road 25.

Colorado Trail / Continental Divide Trail

Segment 11 of the CT passes through Twin Lakes from Mt. Massive heading towards Clear Creek. End-to-end there is amazing hiking and mountain biking.

Mt. Elbert

Tallest peak in Colorado at 14,444 ft. There are multiple trailheads for Mt. Elbert. See the link for more details

For paddlers, there are places to launch all around the lake. Some popular, some hidden gems. Paddling to the Historic Interlaken Hotel is a lot of fun. There is strategy to it, (knowing how to read the off shore wind & current) but we can help you with all that.

Forebay Reservoir

Excellent camping, paddling, fishing & mountain biking. Located off of Country Road 24, east of the Village

Clear Creek Reservoir

Paddling & fishing 15 minutes from Twin Lakes (heading south towards Buena Vista)

Turquoise Lake

Popular for paddling, fishing, hiking & mountain biking in Leadville. Another stellar location for all activities.

Hayden meadows

Fishing spot 15 minutes from Twin Lakes off of Hwy 24 (heading north towards Leadville)

Crystal Lakes

Another fishing hole 15 minutes from Twin Lakes off of Hwy 24 (heading north towards Leadville)
